“I’m a custom wood furniture maker, like Aiden, from Sex and the city…or Jesus.”  And just like that, with one line, Christian stole Emily’s heart.  Not even a hurricane and a canceled flight could keep the spirit of these two down.  Christian and Emily knew that no matter what at the end of the day on November 3, 2012 they would finally become husband and wife.  And that’s all that mattered to them.

I’m not even sure where to begin with these two except to say that I love them to pieces!  I first met Emily and Christian last year when we had our initial meeting, and it was so refreshing to see two people so in love and so excited to marry each other!  These two live in New York, so after that meeting we weren’t able to see each other much, but thanks to email and facebook we were able to talk, stay in touch and get to know each other even more.  I’m so lucky to call these two my friends.

Emily and Christian, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.  I can’t tell you how blessed I feel to have been able to get to know the two of you over this last year and capture your day for you.  Thank you for letting me be a part of such an intimate day with you, your family and your friends.

A huge thanks to my always fabulous second shooter, Lynsey.

Emily’s Judd Waddell dress from Bridal Garden in NYC looked like perfection on Emily.

Emily found the Parisxox shop on Etsy which helped carry out the vision she had for her shoes, hair accessories and clutch.

Stephanie with Flawless Hair and Makeup  did a phenomenal job with Emily’s hair and makeup.

Christion looks mighty fine in his suit from MySuit NY

Emily and Christian decided to see each other before the ceremony.  Even though it was raining, these two didn’t let that damper their spirits one bit!

Love this next moment.

I loooove Christian’s reaction to seeing Emily show off her dress!!

Christian and Emily were troopers with the rain and the River Oaks Garden Club provided a wonderful backdrop for some beautiful portraits of these two.

These beautiful flowers were the works of Plants n’ Petals

A beautiful moment when Christian wipes tears from Emily’s face.

Christian surprised Emily by serenading her once they got to the reception.  It was awesome.

Who Made the Cake did an amazing job with the cake.  It was so delicious!

A few night portraits

Jazzdish did an amazing job keeping the dancing going on all night long!
