Recommended Locations for Sessions

Your session is booked!  Now it’s time to choose a location for your session.  Choose a location can seem overwhelming so I’ve listed some of my favorite locations below that I highly recommend to help you out!  Good lighting is so important for photos and the locations below have great light and photograph beautifully!  Have an idea or location already in mind?  You’re definitely not limited to this list!  Let me know your ideas and we can bounce some ideas around and talk about the options!

Kingwood – This is one of my favorite locations and has so much variety: trees, trails, fields, etc.

Kingwood – A newer location and quickly becoming one of my favorites!    This location takes place along a ravine.  With a grassy field next to the ravine and a line of trees on the other side, you get a little bit of everything at this location.

Spring – This river location is the perfect spot if you want something different from woods, trees and parks.  If you want some water, but don’t want to drive all the way to Galveston this is a great alternative.  There’s a sand bank amongst the trees which makes you feel like you’re somewhere tropical and not anywhere in Houston.

Houston – Although technically Hermann Park, you would never know as it’s on the very back side and not many people know about it.  This means you don’t have to worry about crazy crowds, parking or (if you’re shy) people watching!

Houston – Filled with trees, trails and a small lake, this Houston location has so many options for taking pictures in the middle of nature’s beauty.  The lighting here on a sunny day yields some of the most beautiful lighting for portraits!

Houston – Filled with greenery, trails and a view of the Houston Skyline, Buffalo Bayou is a great option for photos with a  downtown feel.  Parking here can be a little tricky so make sure to arrive early so you can find a parking spot.

Huntsville – This blue lagoon makes you feel like you’re not in Houston anymore!  With clear blue water, rocks and trees, this location has it all and is gorgeous for photos!!   Because of the lagoon hours, this location is only open and available for sessions on Mondays and Thursdays.

Bernardt Winery – Are you and your fiancé wine lovers?  This spot might just be perfect for you then.  This winery is just west of Montgomery and offers a different look and variety than what you would find in the city.  Who wouldn’t love to end their engagement session toasting to the future with a glass of wine?
